VISION
Step 1: Meet the Leadership Team
On Sunday mornings after the service, Pastor Morris Woods is available at the front of the auditorium to meet you and answer questions. The leadership team also hosts a quarterly “Meet and Greet”. This is a great opportunity to get to know the Friendly staff and meet others who are new to Friendly Church of God in Christ. For information on the next “Meet and Greet” contact us.
Step 2: Membership Class
Our membership class provides an overview of Friendly Church’s mission and vision. You can ask questions and determine if Grace is a fit for you and your family. You can sign-up for the next class or request more information on your Connection Card.
Step 3: Baptism
God has called each one of His followers to be baptized. The purpose of baptism is to show the world that we have been united with Christ. A baptism opportunity is available every few months. Sign up on your Connection Card or contact us.
Step 4: Giving
God says that He loves a cheerful giver . We believe that a tithe (ten percent) is the standard of giving for believers. Giving is how we worship God and express our gratitude and love for all He has provided us.
Step 5: Join a Connect Group
There are three, 12-week semesters of Connect Groups each year: Fall, Spring and Summer. Visit our Connect Group page for information or email us for a current list of Connect Groups.
Step 6: Volunteer for a Ministry
God created each of us to do good works . We encourage you to fulfill your calling by joining a ministry team. Opportunities to serve are listed on the back of the Connection Card in your Sunday program. Indicate an area of interest and we will help you get plugged in.

Scripture to Meditate on
EPHESIANS 4:11 - 13
11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
1 CORINTHIANS 12:12 - 14
12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.
